This is so interesting. I have a love for the beach and ocean and all that goes with it. I can imagine this photo of yours framed in a lovely frame and hung on the wall of a very ultra modern home...I'd like to see the shell just a bit sharper..but I like the colouring here...its very dramatic and elegant..Try it with other shells also please. I like the shadows..verena

i like the framing & composition, did u take this pic in b/w? or was it converted? i like the grainy areas above & below the focal point compliment the grainy/sandy areas. nice capture :~)

Interesting use of framing and perspective. Nicely done.

Nice use of focus... it really makes the shell the centre of attention. The framing enhances it as well, but I would like to suggest that it be even on all (or at least on opposing) sides.

I like the idea of this composition. The grain leading into the focus area doesn't bother me and as stated before me compliments the sand. I think the shell still needs to be a little more defined and clearer though. I like the simplicity and placement of the shell. The tone choice is okay but perhaps a contrast increase would make a nice difference too. I like that you kept your framing simple.

I like the softness too but what really draws me is the angle you've chosen. Instead of a straight on shot you've picked a few simple arches over the shadowy underside. Lovely wallpaper

I really enjoy any scenes taken at the beach. This is just lovely with the color and the framing is really nice. Great shot.
