I quite like the clean looks and lines in this one. Professional is the operative word that comes to mind, once again.
The use of the gradient on the sides of your jewel does lend a 3D look, but I think ... as I am learning myself ... use of the warping function/effect or better yet, a displacement mapping of sorts would really heighten that aspect.

p.s. Next time, in case of ... let me know if you are looking for a killer ... killer lightning bolt. :oD
