I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is. Albert Camus ........ My Gallery

It's a great capture of the bird with sharp detail, but the sharpness of the background fights for the attention of the viewer. What if you tried masking just the bird and then slightly blurring the background, maybe even darkening it a little (feather the mask though). It would make the heron standout more dramaticly. Just my thoughts.

Nice contrast between bird and background, but whole image is same sharpness, u could maybe try to focus more on the bird

Been absent from Caedes a short spell ... but I can see not much has changed. You're still posting some great shots of birds. The thumbnail for this doesn't do it justice. Not until opened full screen did I appreciate what an excellent capture you have here. Beautiful clarity and detail on this Heron Charlie. The sharp focus throughout doesn't bother me all that much ... in fact because of it the bird appears almost 3D to these old eyes. Happy New Year my friend.

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.
