Seems like it could be some sort of Agaricus, Amanita, or Russula variant. For a scene that doesn't look brightly lit, this has been done well. Nice find!
This is just right for me in almost all respects. :) (I'm tough to get a perfect in all respect comment from... ^_^) The lighting for one is really good and the composition is rather dynamic. I love the color palette with mostly subtle hues of natures own best beige/yellow/brown (sepia I guess).
I know I would have been there with the blurring tool in PS on some of the details that I don't think point the attention to the main subject but in the end I would probably think it's better to leave it be and not mess too much with it. (My wife always tell me not to make images too perfect and I really agree with that way of thinking. One should accept life as it is with both it's straight and crooked ways. ^_^)
