if your wondering why so red-orange with the sun up? its a simple adjustment everyone should know with the picture-style. works great with foilage come fall time. so again :) ALL CAMERA! the darkness is from a fast shutter speed, note 1600 sec.
This sunrise image is quite good Chris - I really like it - it's amazing how an image directly from the card stands on its own and didn't require any futher editing of any kind on your part - Again, I like it - I think Tom will as well - Great Capture!!! btw: for myself - Manual always!!! Never auto.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
I see it`s 5:49 am. I would have called it Red Cloud Dawn. I always through names out at the last moment. It`s beautiful Chris and I am flattered that you thought of me. This could almost be a winter or cold scene too, there is a desolate feel to it , a good one. You did shoot this very well because it is a very tough scene to capture. The color is deep and rich and the clouds add an ambiance that is awesome. Wonderful capture Chris and Thank you. P.S. I am no master at camera settings , I am clever and lucky. I always shoot in manual too but have just a few settings that I use most of the time , found a sweet spot in my camera and I am stealthy at editing which saves me.
Nice handling of in camera adjustments. Putting more thought in the shot means less edit or none in this case. Sometimes I rush things and lament latter at the lack of my patience. Do appreciate all the settings and details Chris. BTW I love sunrise/sunset images.
