First thing that struck me about the image is the "clean" sky. Also the framing of the image appears to be within 'perfect six squares' rule!
Some might say that cropping the left side would give the image a 'cleaner' look without those people standing in front. But I say that the posture of that person (kind of kneeling and praying posture,) gives the majestic and divine feeling to the image. It also allows us to judge the 'scale' of the primary subject in the frame.
For some reason the image has too much "Noise" with respect to any 'standard' digital camera. Perhaps the ISO settings were not correct or perhaps some other problem.
Also, the image has very low saturation of 'blue' channel. I guess that can be digitally corrected.
If you could hear me, you'd hear the sound of my applause, haha. This shot rocks. I Love the cultural shock and the contrast you've established, both visually and as a side note just looking at this piece. Awesome composition :)
Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.

Great work!
