A ship worker on the Federal Leda waits for his ship to enter lock three of the Welland Canal. The 42 km section of the St. Lawrence Seaway and its locks allow 40 million tons of cargo to climb the Niagara Escarpment every year.
I definitely did feel tiny, the boat was literally crashing into the bumpers at the edge of the canal like 3 feet to my left, gotta commend whoever was steering because those locks are a real tight fit for those ocean sized cargo boats.
