thanks to those of you who are helping me with my terragen learning curve. this latest adds more 'semi-realistic' qualities thanks to samatar's suggestions. interested in opinions please... :)

Yes, personally I think that looks much more convincing. The single wave makes a big difference I reckon. Did you lower the water level as well or just change the camera position?

thanks very much... actually, it wasn't saved, so i had to start from scratch. i also upgraded to the newest version of terragen which has smaller terrain sculpting brushes than the previous version. i appreciate all your help!

This is definitely more realistic and you succeeded in making it look like a photograph. A really EXCELLENT photograph, I might add. This one's a D10F, IMHO.

very nice, the only suggestion I have is to alter the mountain skyline, if the sun's up that high, some light is going to be over the tops of them

oh thats very nice although the beach near the camera looks a bit strange... itd be cool if it had beach wood imho but thats just a detail =)
