WOW! pigeon (an expert) is asking me a question! lol. um..im not sure what depth of field means, but i think it means like focus right? If it means the focus, i just put my camera on macro mode, so it focused on the near object. if thats not what you meant, please ask me again. lol. nope, no flash..for some reason digital camera flashes are very distint, and almost always make a picture look fake.
also before i when i plugged the iron in, there was all this smoke comming out, so i was like "woah! let me get a picture" but by the time i got to my camera, and got it set up, all the smoke was gone..bummer..the smoke really would have looked good
Hoho I forgot to 'subscribe to this discussion'...
Well Tony. You said your camera focused to the near object. Ok.
What is the 'depth of field':
when the light is low, the lens is totally open, then the zone (the depth) in which the photo is clear decreases. We say: their is a little depth of field.
When the light is high, the lens is very closed, then the zone (the depth) in which the photo is clear increases. We say: their is a large deph of field.
For example, you can look at 'reed' of Samarn. He modified the adjustments of its camera to open the lens, then all is fuzzy except the subject. It is a well-known method of the professional photographers. Only reflex cameras and expansive cameras can make that...
On your picture, all is clear (= you've a large depth of field) , but you have'nt many lights! Then I was wondering how you made this...
On the thumbnail i thought it was a guitar cord outlet. Anyway really nice lighting and colors. Gives the enviroment such reality. Nice idea and image. Also love the surronding enviroment (like the stuff). 8*
