Love the sparkly gold and the fish net stockings. Oh, I hated those things! lol I know what Apop is, but wires is a new term for me, but it sure produced something really wild and imaginative.

Caught a sneak 'preview' of this one ... and was most impressed.
I am curious as to what post-sweetening you did in PS. If I may, I might have been tempted to play around with the colour balance somewhat. As you are aware, it's not so much the gradient per se, that can aid in delineating a flame ... as it is the luminance and range of the temperatures of the colours themselves.
'Smooth Palette', anyone? As another option (going through the same thing at the moment and was not satisfied with the 'stock' gradients ... so, found me an image (<--- lazy person's way :oP)).
