These weatherbeaten daisies show a lot of pluck (pun intended, sorry) by prevailing in this chilly atmosphere! I like the general composition, with the dead stalks reaching to the sky and counterpointed by the round, soft flower forms. And the treeline supports the general 45 degree structure of this picture. I might have attempted to clone out the people if it were do-able, since they aren't doing anything for the pic except being a distraction.
I have looked at your photo several times, and given it a lot of thought. I can understand what you were trying to do, you mention the flower in the middle of the dead grass, but this picture really doesn't show that. If you had taken it at a different angle, showing the flower surrounded by the dead grass, it would have eliminated the problem of the distraction of the out of focus people in the background.
