Japanese beetles are a garden nightmare.

I think they make a unique photo opt. though.

New lens at work here again.

I appreciate your comments, thank you in advance.

I can imagine you hunting around for little critters to photograph, Sandi! That's half the battle; finding them. The other half...you've mastered, as evidenced with this Garden Pest. Fantastico!

Smile, without a reason why. Love, as if you were a child, Smile, no matter what they tell you Don't listen to a word they say Cause life is beautiful that way. (From the film "Life Is Beautiful")

I love the clarity and the bokeh you get with that 100mm macro lens, Sandi. Excellent job with this shot of the beetle.

They do make a great photo op, Sandi, especially with their white dots and shiny backs. Great close up.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

Excellent details and focus Sandi but they just about ruin any rose garden!

I hate bugs. That said, you have amazing detail in that bugger and that leaf.

Crystal clear macro...I have thought I might see your face in the reflection of its shell! lol To be honest, my eye keeps drifting to that bit of red on the right, but this is one terrific shot!

Nicely composed and super detail on this 'pest' Sandi. It looks like it might be about to enjoy a meal of leaf ! I don't think I have ever seen one of these.

Grrrrrrrrreat closeup. Love the detail. The leaf background really helps set off the beetle.

Maybe its just a wayward tourist trying to find its way home. A good close up on the beetle, Sandi. Wonderful details, colours and textures in the photo.
