Taken with a Tair-11 133mm lens, and my Pentax K-S1. Mild post-processing (with DigiKam) to bring out the colors a bit.

Not a criticism, in what is to follow.. just an item of curiosity for me.

Straight from the camera, then?

Nicely composed, Tim.

Good good detail and clarity. Colours are natural.

As a constructive critique, and as a suggestion.. perhaps a Curves Adjustment layer to make your image pop a lil' more?

And given the quality of your shot here.. I might have been tempted to add in some.. some, that is.. sharpening as well (though, you could experiment some more with the in-camera settings as well to avoid any edits in the chair and after the fact).

Here is a great method for sharpening..

"Sharpen Images With The High Pass Filter In Photoshop"

Hopefully, you should be able to extrapolate the above to that of your image editor in hand.

That said..

I do enjoy this image. The bloom fills the area within frame well and attractively to the eye.

And..

Thank you for sharing it with us.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
