The land in the west of NSW is real flat, they forgot to scape it! I have tried to use colour and light to present something interesting for you. Enjoy.
Wow! it's soo pretty! I love the lack of human interference there. Nothing in sight that would lead one to believe there is any civilization for a long ways. The picture has a very nice depth of field, it makes you feel like your there! Trees are also a fascination of mine as well. Great capture, definately a 10 and into my fav's :)
It's a real art to finding and presenting the beauty in the ordinary. The play and angle of light, your placement of the lone tree and the cloud is like icing on the cake. Well done.
Oh this is going straight in my favs. Love it Trisb. compo is awesome and look at the gorgeous differents shade of green with the wonderful yellow light! just excellent^^!
But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.
Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.
Saw this immediately after I sent you my latest personal. What a neat shot...all about color and space and light. Obviously the tree is the perfect "mass" to balance the rest of the space. Gonna put this on my PC as wallpaper to remind me it isn't gray and ugly everywhere. Thanks!
Great shot - I particularly like the way you've placed the tree in the shot, plus you've managed to get the depth of field about exactly right, and the picture is sharp and there's no noise. What more could a photogenic tree ask for :)

Lovely shot. I did a similar composition called "Autumn Beauty" - a single tree against the landscape. I love the color and depth in yours. Have a great day.
Tris, just wanted you to know I put this on my desktop last night. It is STAYING there until Spring comes back to the Northern hemisphere. I just love the light and colors.
I usually associate the stips of light on the ground with cloud forms above, is interesting to see it with clear sky, you have obviously chosen the perfect time of day... reminds Bob of Moree...

The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was, is lost, for none now live who remember it. -Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship of the Ring
My favorite thing about this photograph is the depth of it. You can just imagine the landscape stretching out forever into the distance. The comibination of greens and blues and yellows make for a very calming, perfect desktop, and an amazing photograph.
Heya Robert, I wanted to stop by and congratulate you on your Artist of the Week honor. I thought I'd check out this image since I've never seen it before and you billed it as your personal favorite.
I can see why! The lighting is fantastic. Thank goodness for fence posts. Thanks for sharing this and all of your wonderful photos with us here. Even with what seems like no time to spend on Caedes any more, it's always nice to have these fine images to "come home to." Keep it up~
