We got caught in the Friday afternoon exodus from Sydney, so we decided that sight seeing was more fun than an endless traffic jam. I got this shot from Kirribilli. We drove home after the traffic had cleared itself.

What a great cpature here Robert. I like the composition. The bridge on the far right is cool. The ' famous' skyline of Australia helps identify the city without comments. I like how the sun is skimming the water below the bridge, adding a lovely golden touch. The few soft, swirly clouds laying low on the horizon add just the right amount of depth and reality to this shot. Welld one my freind. Thank you :)

This is a wonderful photo...great color and detail...and this very special lighting that you only get quite short before sunset. You captured that mood very well and this picture is a proof of the very useful side effects of traffic jams - at least sometimes....

the clarity and detail on this, with the neat curvy bridge make it look like something out of a sci fi movie. The water is definitely a strong point, and the sun is down enough to give a neat contrast between the sky and water blues. The framing's nice too.

This is what I call a breathtaker. You see a nice visual experience instead of dreadful traffic jam. Good choice. This really gives a feeling of some peaceful and lazy evening. And the sun glow in the sky and in the water make it warm and cosy.

I will agree with pretty much everything that has been said above. it is a great shot. The bridge does a good job leading your eye toward the city centre (with all this Australian talk i have to be sure to spell that the canadian way:P). The sunset creating all the cool shadows and tones on the water make this the perfect time of day for this shot. Well done The one thing that i see that prevents it from being absolutly perfect (which nothing is of course) is the bright spot by the bridge caused by the sun. It would have been good if you could have perhaps moved the camera a tad so that it was blocked by something like the bridge. Of course that is a minor detail, on a wonderful picture. Nice work.

Great photo, This area is so picturesque, it's almost impossible to take a bad picture of it, but you have taken this picture very well. The composition is good, and the warm light across the bridge looks really good. nice work
