Actually he is a Superb Fairy Wren. These tiny bundles of energy are welcome in my garden. They provide endless entertainment as they chase mosquitoes and other insects for their supper.
Well, shucks, I chase mosquitoes too (with a fly swatter) and nobody has taken MY picture! This is a cute little bird but I fear you have missed the grand happening....I mean look at him.....I mean that tail......I mean it's straight up in the air.....Robert, do you know what this bird is doing? It's....it's (can I say it on the site)...Robert, it's farting! Sheesh!
(How could he miss this...)

adorable shot Robert, he is really proud because he hold his tail in to the air perhapes there was a female bird to:) lol perfect picture with great clearity and colors
Great pic, nicely done. I expected to see a little fairy person so I'm somewhat disappointed....but I'll get over it.....1...2...3...ok I'm over it. Nice work.
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

another delightful capture of a feathered friend Robert. The tail is so indicative of the wren family...they are so delightful to watch and their little tails are at such a angle to their bodies...we have a wren that is here in the summer months called a 'Carolina Wren'. I enjoy many wonderful minutes watching them scamper about...I like the colors your wren offered better than mine though!! What a fun image and as usual, you have captured it with your best foot forward. Another one for my favorites gallery. Thank you for sharing your friend with me ;=)
As tiny and cute as a humming bird and also sharing the similar insatiable appetite I guess !!! LOL
Cute image !!!
Many thanks, Robert.
BTW lucky you to have mosquitoes still at this time of the year LOL
OK - I saw one the day before yesterday outdoors too but it was a very sleepy insect ...
That's a good name for this lil beauty. Such fine details and a wonderful close up. Love that chubby body with his feathers fluffed up. His coloring is gorgeous - love that vibriant blue. You've framed him well, with the thin border the same shade as his branch. I wish he'd come visit us :*^
Hey?
This is wonderful Robert!
