I encountered this scene during the tail end of a summer storm. I hope you enjoy it, and…
I wish all of you and very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Nice pic Robert...didja find the gold? I think that's a big lie...who would put the gold there anyway? Besides someone else would find it anyway. Nice work. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

lovely picture Robert, like the rainbow, actually it is no rainbow because in the middle he is interrupted but who cares:) LOL ,at the end/beginning the colors are very sharp and bright so have a good x-mas with the one you love and a good 2007
Mercy. Is that windmill ever working overtime. Great lighting. Love that rainbow. One of the prettiest I have seen. Merry Christmas to you too. Must seem wierd celebrating it in summertime...well no, I guess you are use to it. It's wierd for me. Anyway, gorgeous post. It's a keeper.

well, talk about a perfect rainbow! it's great Trisb, it has a surreal feel to it, maybe because of the intensity of the light... and the pattern of the field create a great motion ^^
Wish you the best as well ! have a good holidays and see you next year^^
This is a real wonderful image Robert. Im saying that for few reasons. One obviously is the rainbow and the way its possitioned and the thickness of it is graceful. Secondly the timely exposure on the wind mill. Lot of motion and drama in it. Thirdly comes the lights. Its simply awesome how the light spread on the gound around the windmill and slightly leaves the far corners in dark. No matter how u did it it has come out nice.
One more thing. On the wishing point of it I think its not much effective. Why I say is that since the wind mill is facing away from the viewer it gives a kind of negative impression. Some thing like the history or 'gone' kinda feeling. So for a new year which is yet to come it may not be appropriate. But I will cherish this photo because its just wonderful as a photo.
Beautiful Robert! Wonderful action with the windmill. Lovely capture of the rainbow, and the colours, sweeping across the landscape, are lush and easy on the eye. Such clarity and sharpness. You did your usual marvelous job. Do have a most Merry Christmas and Joyous New Year Robert :*>
A stunning picture Robert - to capture a whole rainbow like that is not easy :) The composition and clarity are spot on and it is a joy to look at.
Merry Christmas to you and yours, and best wishes for 2007. :)
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

This has to be the archetypal Oz image [apart from the bounding 'roo's of course!]. You have captured it to perfection with the added bonus of an interrupted rainbow. Perfect composition and dramatic contrasting colours of land and sky. The Australian Tourist board should snap this one up.
By the way the bird mag was 'Birds Illustrated' and a friend of mine says, as far as he's aware, they have folded :o( Bad timing or wot!
Seasons Greetings to you and yours also.
Cheers,
Steve.
