This is a rework of noahnottÂ’s original photo as outlined in his Post Process Another's Photo post. I chose to process this in my favourite raw converter. Steps taken: 1, Cycle through the various looks to find the most pleasing look. I picked the Red Enhancer look. 2, Adjust the exposure by dragging the exposure bar over until the highlights almost blew out. 3, Into the lens aberration controller and reduce the vignetting. 4, Crop to 4 x 3 aspect ratio, which also got rid of the traces of vignetting. 5, Boost the colours a wee bit. 6, Sharpen to a enhanced but natural level. 6, Saved at 1600 x 1200 pixels in SRGB. I did open it in Photoshop but decided it didnÂ’t need any further processing.

Very nice rework, but you completely eliminated the zodiacal light creating a totally artificial look.

Super job Robert! Sounds like it was a lot of work, but it was worth it when you have these results. This makes a stunning desktop. Wonderful clarity, and the colours have a softness to them - love that moon! Pat yourself on the back for this beauty :^>

It's funny to see you chose to delete the vigneting and some of us decide to increase it.
A fine work. The sky is wonderful here :-)

HI Robert. What fun this is to see how each of us interprets the same image. I like the softness that you portrayed in your rework. I can truly envision myself standing 'there' and watching the sun rise/set over the hills of your image. This is fun :=)

This is my favourite of the 'Noah's tree' edits so far. It's the effect I was after (but missed). I like the way that you evened out the sky (getting rid of the vignetting), using a different method from mine.

I also like the way you got the sky very smooth - I see no noise or grain here at all. And yet the tree itself is reasonably sharp.

I was trying to think if I had any 'caveats', as Purmusic calls them, but I don't see anything I want to challenge.

Beautiful work. :-)

Hi Robert,
This picture keeps popping up all over the place like mushrooms..just the name changes. Well it's still a beautiful picture even if it has more lives then a cat.
