This water lily had a wonderful pearly irridescence to it's petals I wanted to try to capture that - I think I caught at least some of it. All comments and critiques appreciated.

They don't have lily pads around here...not enough water unless somebody builds a pong in their yard. They sure are beautiful though. There are a few things about the Midwest that California needs. Lily pads are only one.
The pads make an excellent background to the flower. I really like the softness in your flower photos. Looks like silk.
