Up on a hill to the west of the old church is their cemetery where the original founding families are buried. I liked the outline of the bare trees, the still leafed tree and the cross against the skyline from the bottom of the hill. All comments and critiques appreciated.

I agree with you about the trees, Kathy. There's something quite dramatic about leafless trees. For some reason I'm surprised to see green grass in this shot. The trees are bare and that sky looks cold. The last few times I was in the Chicago at this time of year, I nearly froze. My Illinois blood has been watered down by the years.

Beautiful, touching and poetic image! Wonderful and rich composition. When I was younger I liked to take walks in cemiteries.

Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun

The difference between a bad artist and a good one is: the bad artist seems to copy a great deal; the good one really does. ~William Blake
