One of my favorite of the spring blooming shrubs is looking good right now. Usually they don't bloom until early May but nothing is usual this spring. It's a beautiful sunny day today and finally the winds have died down so I could get a few shots. All comments and critiques appreciated.

Lilacs are one of my favorites too! Beautiful Kathy and outstanding!!! That wind was terrible, wasn't it? So happy its only 3mph now ;-)

This is a beautiful image and I too love Lilac and their fragrance is wonderful. I have never seen this variety before with the white and purple - a real treat for the eye. Fav'd and thank you for sharing!

Aromas can bring back distant memories even more than a favorite old tune. Lilacs invariably bring me back to my preteen days back on Maywood in Peoria, Illinois. Honeysuckle has the same effect.
Wonderful shot of the blooms and foliage. Not a bit of noise in the clear blue skies. Fantastic colors and clarity. I received an email from Picnik suggesting some alternate sites. I wonder if they'll provide the same nifty borders.
