Saw my first of these blooming today - very large probably 8" across. These are related to hollyhocks, hibiscus and Rose of Sharon.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

You really have the details in this gorgeous shot, Kathy. I saw some of these this week, only in red. I didn't get a very good shot of one though. Awesome capture.

Lavatera Triumestis :)
A lovely close up shot of this bloom Kathy.
I have two in my garden. They are easy to grow and in fact tend to take over. The secret is to cut them right back the first two years, even at the expense of flowers to allow good strong branches to form - they away they go. This hint was given to me by a well known garden designer in our area.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
