This was taken a year ago today in a restaurant parking lot. There were several beautiful Rose of Sharon there including a blue one which I like and rarely see. In fact I've not seen any Rose of Sharon blooming yet this year. These bushes, related to hibiscus, get to be about 6 feet tall and wide and when covered with bloom are quite spectacular.

Lovely capture, if it wasn't so large looking I'd think it a hollyhock bloom. Anyway it is a terrific capture.
