This is my wife with one of our neighbors 1 week old puppies. Lighting was very dim and I couldn't use flash so this is what I came up with.

A nicely captured moment. The slight blur makes it more active than perhaps a stil shot would have, you get the feeling of the emotion more.

Not sure if I like the hand around the throat. :P I do however like the subjects chosen and agree about the slight blur giving activity to the shot.

I am not so sure about the blur, but do like the image.
Very hallmark card like.

could be interpreted in many ways. for example, at first glance it is very sweet and emotional. However, it could also seem a little "evil" with the hand around the throat, I agree. All in all, though, I like the sepia tone--it brings a lot of warmth, and very nice.

If you look closely the puppies paws are supporting itself on her fingers.

I like the sepia, the angle, the composition. You have a real knack for finding unusual perspectives from which to shoot what would otherwise be ordinary shots, if photographed dead-on. You have a great eye for color as well. I enjoyed your entire gallery. Keep up the good work.
