A fascinating flower for sure; percocet, oxycodone, oxycontin hydrocodone. A powerful plant like Marzena's digitalis whose beauty belies its powerful effects. Glad to be off these narcotics for a long time and hope to never take them again. They can be very highly addictive. They have become very popular 'street' drugs too. They don't destroy these poppies unless they are found in Afghanistan, then they are illegal. Go figure.

Agree 1000%, have a cronic condition and I too love chemistry. Its amazing that opioids come from such an interesting plant. Mighty Mouse was a right!
