This was the hottest and kewlest car at the Rod Run!! This guy evidently built this himself from scratch!! Just look at that. And he is sitting SO LOW! I wish he had stopped somewhere so I could have taken more photos of it. An amazing piece of work for sure! So this is my last of the hott cars at Long Beach, Wa. If I happen to find a good photo later, I'll post it, but for now, this is 'the end'...thank you all so much for looking and going down the Rod Run Main street with me! It was a fun time.

Yes Verena I definately think that was built in the garage! probably a long project, it looks like a bit of a squeeze in there. Caught just at the right moment! nice one!

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??

The common name for such a car is "Rat Rod", and you can usually find at least one at any car show. They are a reflection on the roots of hot rodding, and as Verena proves, becoming a popular attraction at most shows.

Is this what the song, "Low Rider" was describing? Very low. He does look like he wants to get out and stretch a bit... ;-) I'm impressed with his talent for 'tinkering' this into existence.

Now that's a low rider, Verena. I hope he don't have a sore butt from dragging it on the asphalt. I like the yellow '55 Chevy wagon behind the rat rod. Nice work on this series.

I made it to this show and saw this very car running around Ocean Park and again pulled over by the State Patrol by Klipsan Beach. I made it all the way down to the show and forgot my camera!!!
