Another one of the historical homes in Forest Grove, Or. Not many flowering trees at this one yet, but there are nice foofies all around. This house is so stately. Wish I could see the inside. Please feel free to comment.
V, I did some checking on this house for you since you stated you would like to go inside. According to the Forest Grove Historical Society, this house is full of ghosts, goblems, poltergeists, and icky things which love to eat photographers. So, there, you're welcome. I have saved you once again!
Go knock on the door and tell them you are from Better Homes and Gardens, and need a photo shoot of the inside. LOL. That IS a nice house. I can see it is well taken care of. Very nice, Verena.
Very nice photo and love the grounds to this house with the flower beds.
Is there any chance of you nipping round the back so we can see the back garden lol. Spot on photo.
Verena - A lovely, well-cared for four-square house. In the late 1800s and early 1900s, often these houses were bought in kit form. Sears Roebuck sold many of them. The interested purchaser picked out the style from a catalog, and the all the pieces of the entire house was shipped to site to be constructed by carpenters. Thad
I like the color of the house!!! The white trim work really is beautiful on that shade of maroon! Great shot Verena! I'm enjoying your historical houses.
