This guy landed, opened his wings once or twice and then closed them. I must have waited up to 10 minutes for him to open his wings again. He's actually a very dull patterned brown on the underside. A stark contrast to what his wings are on the upper side. Definitely an argument for a tri/monopod! (I was using one)

Those pesky critters are not easy to get a good shot on. I watch my wife as she learns all the new swear words as she works on getting shots such as this. Very well done :-)

N1ce. good depth of field. The dark green of the plant brings out the colours of the butterfly perfectly. Good desktop. Well done Cheers Al.

The beer urges me on, the bewitching beer, which sets even a wise man to singing and to laughing gently and rouses him up to dance and brings forth words which were better unspoken. Homer, The Odyssey (note: beer substituted for wine)

Nice busy picture with a lot in it. Makes for a good background. Good contrast between the butterfly and all that greenery!
