I had some difficulty deciding what to do with this one. The original pic had him on the right third so I that's where I wanted him in the crop but it didn't seem to work quite right, it seemed like the crop centered him so I decided to fill the photo with him instead. I had a good day down at the park only to come back and the -1 exposure compensation was apparently too much as well as the lighting conditions not being very good either - bright sun and I was shooting into it. So I had a lot of great shots that only turned out alright.

Rob, I've just looked at your bird pic in PSPPXI (Paint Shop Pro Photo XI) and by using the Fill Flash button at 100%, the brightness and colours are instantly transformed and they look great!

Maybe use the Bracketing facility next time, so you get 3 shots for the price of one: under- and over-exposure plus normal? Just a thought.

Nice work and a great composition.
