Wow... I was really struck by the feel, the sentiment of this one. It struck a very personal chord with me. Australian memories. Simple, but powerful work: both in words, and imagery.
What a feeling conveyed here. I am not able to sleep, and to see this shoreline, along with words that fit my life so totally at this moment, even tho the memories are so very painful, the flower makes me have hope. HEre is one of my writings...about the sea...good memories linger....too
Ocean Sunrise
an ocean sunrise wakes me
brings its good morning in my window
I pour a cup of raspberry tea
laced gently with wildflower honey
briefly I turn on the television
to see what the days weather is
but instead the channel is set
to the arts and music of today
I hear Maurice Chevalier sing
in his charming French voice
what a romantic song to start a day
my eyes again look out the window
seeing many fishing boats
slowly moving along the horizon
and seagulls search for their breakfast
the sky shining in pastels of
sapphire blue and carnation pink
and this day begins as it should
"Well," said Pooh, "what I like best," and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called. ~A.A. Milne
What an incredible shot! Just stunning in it's simple and lovely composition. Like the artistic touch of the B&W background and the soft color of the flower! Excellent!
