Love the cat, but I love the texture of the background as well. Got this soft yet rough feeling there. The eyes are most expressive.

A person can't experience the whole of this upload in thumbnail, although just the eye with what appears to be solid black is cute too, but full size it certainly takes on a whole new life of its own. Great job, as always.

I hate to say "cute", but this begs for it. Very cute. Although I prefer some of your more detailed images for sheer interest value, this is also a great desktop and I'm definitely a cat person. I've got a muted grey torte (according to her adoption papers, anyway), but she looks very like this in a dark room - or looking down the stairs from a darkened landing.

Who wouldn't swap human for cat eyes - at least on aesthetic grounds, alone?

Excellent work - and I have to agree with za4em9 about the background. It reminds me of home-dyed black cloth. When I was a kid, my mother made my brother and eye Halloween cloaks from an old sheet dyed black and that material had this not-quite-black-but-clearly-meant-to-be quality to it, too. Very interesting effect. (I don't mean you meant it to be black, obviously.)
