Thanks!
I've saved everything of yours that I've seen here, and of course this one is no exception. You have the knack of presenting things in a very fascinating way...love this dragon series, and thanks once again for posting :)
Hello Vlad...oh my! This is sooooooooo lovely and whimsical.THis is just so precious, I do so love looking at your art work..I especially like the long thin swirling tail... and that sweet face on the dragon, I do wish the little child had at least a couple specks for eyes tho...Thank you so so so much for sharing it with all of us..Verena
Simply fabulous in both senses of 'fabulous'. This one is really wonderful - 'whimsical' as somebody said, is absolutely correct. It's humourous in a way that seems characteristic of your work - in a gentle, meaningful way that runs deep but is light at the same time. Your images are always worth a smile...
I just hope the small figure flying with the umberella is not this poor dragon's flying teacher as I suspect neither of them are in for much fun if that's the case. Hopefully, they are just passing the time of day... or discussing a world shortage of Green & Black's... I think the glasses are a lovely touch, too. Maybe they are discussing books - the mobile library's librarian is consulting with her customer on the available options. (After all, she/he could hardly be expected to visit in person, surely?)
Will stop whittering nonsense. It is rather late...
this would make a great cover for a fantasy novel- like young adult. It just has that mystical, mystery about it that would make you want to read the book to find out more about the picture
"You see things as they are and ask, 'Why?' I dream things as they never were and ask, 'Why not?'"
-[The Serpent saying to Eve] in George Bernard Shaw's Back to Methuselah
*bows down* I am not worthy.
I mean, of course I am, but to see this kind of skill, this kind of.. gifts in a person put in use in such a cool and refined way. It's very nice!
Check out the site "Between Truths", read, learn and pass on. The three steps is all you need to remember to get started. =)
