I tend to agree with Enon above, and maybe next time try and get some sun in the shot to lighten up the image. Nice idea though keep them coming, practice makes perfect.......John
I must say this is a good effort...The background takes your eye away from the main subject......Heres a little tip when taking pic of flowers...avoid windy days....Overcast conditions are usually best for colours.... then saturate .....your pictures will still look really bright, but even more colourful......All the best...Mick.
The fine detail of the snow, down to the individual branches lends interest to the shot. Since the background has many of the same colors as the centerpiece, it lets the eye wander instead of holding it focus in the center. A early morning or late afternoon shot might have lend more interest by varying the lighting a bit by the slanted rays, but you don't always get the lighting you want.
