You did a terrific job with "Abomination" and further to the comments about uploading at a higher resolution, I'm pasting below a Q/A on that subject from a Discussion Board in the hopes that it will explain why you keep hearing the same suggestion. =)

Question:
What are the dimensions for the uploading images?

Answer:
640*400, 800*600, 1024*768, 1152*864, 1280*1024, 1600*1200

Those are the sizes, but pictures below 1024*768 you can bet will be deleted, because of the low size. You really want to upload them at 1280*1024 and 1600*1200.

Thanks for your comments on "Unidentified". As far as my "technique" goes, the only thing I could suggest is to keep it simple. I use only the basic shapes )eg in that image I used 3 spheres, 2 cones, 6 cylinders and a torus, plus the basic landforms in the distance) and the most basic materials, such as plain metals and glass, which aren't effected by scale (ie they look the same regardless of the size or shape of the object). Hope this helps anyway...
