Good morning Donna
First, a warm welcome to Caedes. Am relatively new here myself, only a couple of months. Am certain you will find it as nice a place as I have, and the other artists helpful and encouraging.
Many thanks for your appreciation and comments on "Pebbles through water". Am pleased that you enjoy it. This partof the stream, now so still and clear, belies the fact that it is prone to sudden and severe flooding when it rains - I have seen it raging intently. Nature is full of beautiful contrasts :)
Enjoy your day.

Good morning Donna
My thanks for your comments on "Shell Ginger - Alpinia zerumbet", and am pleased you have enjoyed it. Was quite surpised it came out as well as it did, as had to squeeze under the branches of a low and shady tree and push a little through the plant itself (glad the owner didn't see me <grinning>) - was an awkward shot to take.
Enjoy your day

Hi Donna, nice to meet you ! I´m thankful for the kind comments you left on my butterfly images. I understand you also like orchids and there are 17 in the series that B.J. (bjb) and I have collaborated on. You will find some of them in her gallery. Have a look !
Good morning Donna
Thank you for your comments and enjoyment of "Kahili Ginger - Hedychium gardnerianum". I found it interesting that there are about 100 species of ginger. Most are not edible, only ornamental. The edible ginger with which we are all familiar in our cooking etc. is Common Ginger or Halia (Zingiber officinale). The Shell Ginger (Alpinia zerumbet) that I posted the other day is also edible - it is apparently bitter to eat but can be used in potpourri.
Enjoy your day

Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.
Thank you for commenting on Mama Squirrel. She is friendly but still very wild. She seemed to want her picture taken that day. I have three of these that come every day and several other that visit fairly often. We also have rabbits but they are very hard to get photos of.
Hi, Donna, thank you for posting on "Yes, It's Another Barn" To answer your question: Yes I did re-color the picture. Or more acurately I desaturated all of the colors in the pic other than the red of the barn and the pink on some of the bushes and it gave it an interesting look. Thanks for visiting!

Hi Donna, thanks for your comment on "UluDanu" I was lucky to get some good shots on holidays in Bali as the humidity played havoc with my camera. Cheers Al.
Thanks for the comment on the centre street lion. Unfortunitly i didn't think to take a profile shot. Maybe if im in that area again ill remember to do that.

Thanks Donna, for your comment on Turtles on the Wall. I could never forget the squirrel, he is so cute.. It was the turtles that caught my eye for the photo.. Using that birdbath for a planter was a great idea..
‘Glad you liked Remnant of the Frontier. I appreciate your positive comments. 'Sorry it took me so long to reply. I just figured out the communication method. Judy

Donna,
Just a quick note to let you know that I was happy to see your comments about my Adobe Wall and Window Box . I am happy that you liked it. I am writing this to you at 11,000 feet in the San Juan mountains. I am still searching for that perfect image. I'll drop you a note when we get back home in about ten days or so.

Hello Donna, actually I don’t get to visit “Gap Creek Falls” as often as I would like. The road in is very slippery, then there is a short but arduous hike to complete the journey but it’s well worth the effort. Thank you for your nice comments about my photo, they are much appreciated.

Hi Donna! Thanks for visiting my "Lone Star" hot air balloon! I don't know if you have ever been to a balloon "glow", but they are really beautiful! I see you are a Mom to five... I have three... so I can just imagine how busy you are! Hope you have a GREAT day!

Thanks fo rcommenting on Church.. Glad you liked it.. I also wish that truck hadn't been there.. I managed to get out the other one but, I couldn't seem to get this one without causing a big blurry spot.. I am working on one of the window.. Hope to have that up tomorrow..
Thanks for your comment on Church Window.. It really didn't turn out as well as I wanted it to.. The church is next to a busy highway on that side, and to get the shot I really wanted, I would have to stand in the middle of it.. Not something I really wanted to do.. I am hoping the next time I try I will get the rose window as well..
