I agree with Camerahound: you have good positioning and good topics.
But your pictures are fuzzy, very dark and the colors are not natural ...
Which camera do you use? Numeric? Even with a cheap numeric camera, you must obtain better results...
Maybe are this scanned photos?

thanks for the comment on the ferns. yeah. i took a few pictures of the ferns when i was there, but that was the only one that turned out decently. the sun was really bright and it killed some of the other pictures. it was nice there, though. check it out sometime if you're ever in northern michigan.
