Thank you for your comments on Emory Gap Falls. This falls and DeBord falls are on the Panther Branch Trail which is in the Northern part of the park. It's past the campground. The trail head is at the end of the road. It's a wonderful hike and much easier than hiking to Frozen Head!
we've just returned from a photo trip. i apologize for all the comments i didn't send regarding both your photos and your comments to my photos. it would take forever. so please forgive me.

Thank you Mr. Caedes! I'm glad that you took the time to leave that nice comment on my images. I appreciate your support and value your opinion. I also want to thank you for providing us with this wonderful website to share our images and make friends with people all over the world. The job is System Administration and I don't think that will get any better. The health was a knee replacement and that's improving everyday. Thanks for your concern.

Loved those words of wisdom on the latest "Praetor Maximus Editorial - 03/06"...Sad, but true about "Otherwise lost in deviantArt" (or the dA)...without Caedes, we could easily find our works buried within Animae rips, BDSM enshrinment, fetish art, skin peeps, death, goth, gore, gangsta art, goofy .gif animation, crash & burn flash presentations, and countless illustrations of "weird debauchery" ("But Ma, I don't have any homework tonight!")...I'm glad you've created this site...Thank you! -Ron
Caedes,
Just wanted to say how much I've enjoyed this site since I've joined, which was quite a while ago (in 02 shortly after it was created apparently :P)! I've never really been all too active till recently but for the past 4 years I've enjoyed the images that your site allows me to have the privelage and joy of viewing. Since I've discovered this site I don't believe I've had a wall paper on my desktop that I didn't pull from Caedes.net, and it's one of the few wallpaper sites that is genuinely dedicated to the appreciation of art, and free to boot! Another great thing is that gov't computers/networks don't block this site, which works great for armed services members like myself. Well anyways, I figure since I am being more active now, and part of the caedes cadre and all, I thought it appropriate to finally say thank you for this awesome social playground. It's been a pleasure Caedes, and will be for quite a while ;) Have a great day!

Very addictive website this and much graciousness on exhibit (no pun) by the addictees.
Surely you have had help along the way from some dedicated devotees.
By the way, I find your icon a bit fearsome. Did you ever consider changing it?
Why have you not posted any submissions in awhile?
P.S. Somewhere on this site, I read that caedes is not a real account, but a placeholder. If so, who submitted the art work under this name?
i think that you should have to vote/comment on someones art before you download it... that would help with the whole lack of votes and comments thing....i know you have the voting booth but i think this would maybe work better.... just a thought
Good to hear from you on "Farm-back-yard animals" -- They lined themselves up that way really, so it was a natural comp. I am learning to use the middle focal lengths of my telephoto zoom better though, so I'm glad this one turned out well. I'm glad you liked it, thanks again for your thoughtful comment!
Thank you kind sir for your comments about “The Old Shed”. I wouldn’t say fog always improves an image but it does provide some wonderful artistic opportunities. I’ve always enjoyed wondering around in fog, perhaps because it’s quite a rare event here but mainly because of the surreal look it gives to ordinary scenes.
Just a note to the Big (guy?)...I sure am havin a lot of fun on this site...it is full of great folks! The photos here are such a wonderful variety of talent...I have visted other photo sites(ummm sorry!) they are quite weird...but this one is soooo full of "the real" thang! Just wanted to say...I'm glad it is here! (smack,smack..kissin up)hahahahaha
Hi Caedes, Thanks so much for your note on "Venerable Old Timer." The small uncontrolled airport where this one flies out of is closing down for a mall. It's sad to see these airports disappear. This one especially since I will miss hearing these guys fly overhead; I live just a few blocks away.

I'm fairly new here and I gotta say that this is a fantastic site. It's great to find a site that has an intelligent, talented community. This site is one of the few truly inspirational places I have found on the net.
Thanks for giving us all a home.
Hey, I noticed you were online...I like the clean, efficient layout of the site, and always have. I would be most honored if you critiqued any of my works. :ø)

Thanks for the comment on "The Lone Tree." I agree with what you are saying, as far as the position of the tree. I am working on another render that should alleviate both that and the floating problem. :)

1) Thanks for looking at my image, even though you were probably just checking it off and leaving what your wrote, but thanks any which way. 2) No, it wasnt promted by anything in particular.
My Images are much better than yours! :D? (CJ) Hold on, Back up. How the hell do you turn up missing?
(mahalik) Cause nobody knows where you are when they realise you ain't there!
(CJ) So your telling me you can appear and dissappear at the same time?
(Mahalik) You can appear and disappear at the same time man!
(CJ) But you can't be gone from one place and show up in another place at the same time, so when you turn up, your never missing, and when your missing, you never turn up!
(Mahalik) Unless, you a zombie!
(CJ) damnit that's some plausable (censor) right there! you should blog about it!
(Mahalik) I'ma put that on MySpace!
could my son use your beautiful fractal 001 image for his page in the high school yearbook? he would be happy to give credit. please email me at johnhaeberlin@gmail.com (he h as to know by Monday October 16.
***Thank you*** seawhisper
Hi Caedes! Just a note of thanks for your great website! I've been posting on here for sometime now (about 8 months) & never thought of coming by to pay my respects! I've really made some great friends on here, even internationally which is real cool!! Its great to meet people from literally all over the world on one website. It's also peaked my interest in photography and I am upgrading my camera to a more professional type because of it. Thanks again for all you've done here! ~Dan

Groove on Big Daddy Caedes, this is a premo site with alot of great people on it and you should be proud of the accomplishment that you have achieved here. Many folks can come together, be friends, and enjoy wonderful art, so I guess what I'm tryin' to get at is THANKS for the idea and then the reality of the site. Let the good times roll baby. :-) John
i can't get the pay pal thing to work! of course i want to be a member. haven't i sacrificed everything else in my life to play with pictures!!!! (just joking) HELP!!!! jen
I just had a problem on the sight. I was wondering if you might be able to help me out.
I was asked by you to comment on a picture called, "Buddah", and I did so. I put my comment down, and let them know that I liked the color, the focus, the composition, and the placement. But I also said that I didn't like the subject matter because I was a Christian. I was very careful not to be offensive, in fact I made sure to say I was not attacking anyone, just being honest. I was as friendly as possible, and I even said that if they had any questions or complaints, that they could PM me and I would be happy to answer any questions they might have.
Imagine my distress when I came to the sight today to find an abrasive, rude message from a character named "Savage" saying that he had responed to my "intolerant" comments, and that he was happy my comment had been deleted. I was flabbergasted! I checked, and indeed, my comment had been deleted, and not only that, but there was an unhappy message from Savage in its place. I was hurt, and very sad when I saw it. I had not been contacted by the poster of the picture to say that they were offended or angered by my comment, and I had not even been given the opportunity to explain myself or show that I had been asked to comment on the picture by the site!
I just wanted to bring this to your attention. Not to insult you, or to show you that I am angry. I'm not, just hurt. I only wanted to let you know so that you might be able to rectify the situation, so that it might not happen again.
I hope you have a good day. I hope all is well in your life, and I am praying for you.
I am a little bit new on your side, but it is time to say Thank You. In a way, your webpage already changed my life. I only took from time to time a photo with my husbands camera - most of the time a photo of my husband. Sometimes I also did some shots with my mobile phone. Since I am here, I have got a camera and I spend a lot of time, walking through Vienna, my hometown, and look for shots. The community here is very kind and funny. So your project is a hit and I am sure, that your life will be one of sucess.
Yours
Sabine
Happy Thanksgiving! I'm sure you're thankful you're done with that Master's defense! Thanks, too, for the fun contest and I'm very grateful to receive an honorable mention. Just a note - none of the links on the honorable mentions work on the contest results. Hilda

Thank you for making such an amazing site! Not only is it a great place to see other people's beautiful art work and photography, many of us have also made great friends here. Hopefully one day I will have the know-how to create something marginally as amazing as what I have seen here.
However... I am only 14. Which doesn't help. Oh well.
this website is great and the pictures are beautiful but is is almost rocket science to figure out to download these pictures for your desktop can you pleasssseeee... tell me how to downlaod pictures.....
i think one of my pics is missing but i can't remember wich one (and i don't remember how to write wich or witch)cause i count them yesterday and they were 72 and today with my 2 uploads are 73. Anyway mr Sherlock check it out whenever and if you can.
li made a comment yesterday in the request for comment section of discussions. i was a bit thrown for a loop and quickly deleted it. if you still have it i would love to get it back out there. does it still exist or is it poof? OR MAYBE WHAT I WANT TO DO WOULD FALL INTO BEATING A DEAD HORSE!!! what do you think?

I love this site very much but object strongly to the way your moderators handle rejecting images. I have had two images rejected recently and have received the standard, and in my opinion patronising, rejection message. This message tells me nothing about why my image was really rejected. Wouldn't it be better if the moderator actually told the photographer why it was rejected?
Once again, thanks for providing an outlet for photographers and artists of all visual genres to proudly post their works without being lost in a myriad of gore, animae, sleazy celebs, hate/violence art, sex/nudity, and need I add...rips...There's far too many sites that are drunk with that garbage as it is...

This is a great, and addictive site "Praetor Maximus" with an excellent virtual world too. :o)
It's fine for nice images of butterflies, and sunsets etc but please can we have more photographic categories too !! How about one for HUMOUR, and another for JOURNALISM ? This site is far too conservative. :o(. more tea vicar ? lol
Just wanted to say thanks for making a great site like this. It's hard to find a good, clean wallpaper site nowadays, and of the few that are out there, this is THE BEST hands down! Thanks for starting this awesome(and rather addicting:)community.
Addictive is one way to put it, I've been on here almost every day since starting my account! Thanks for the opportunity to share my photos with other users while browsing theirs. Kyle
Thanks for providing an outlet for so many and the opportunity to make friends from all over the world. I have learned so much from so many. Thanks again.
If you have a garden please feed the birds this freezing winter, & supply drinking water not ice, it's so important. . . . Help dwindling bird numbers survive.
Just want to finally say thank you so much for this site- I absolutely appreciate it- i don't know what i'd do for desktops and photography advice otherwise.

I would like to thank you so very much for allowing me to join and post here on this magnificent site. I have truly enjoyed myself and have learned so much from all the friends I have made here.
Hello...I wanted to say thanx for the nice orderly thing you did with the "Subscriptions" I like how we can look and check it and then mark "Process checked". I also like the way the "Favorites" is now. It's all so much easier to take care of. I noticed that the "attitudes" here in caedes seems to be so much nicer too. I know I stay here due to the really good community feelings. I've met some great friends and see such fantastic photos and art creations. I really feel comfy here....So a bigtime thank you to you...Verena
If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly, like a millionaire intent on going broke
Thank you very much for your congratulations on the occasion that I've become 'Featured Artist' in November 2009.
Your nice words are higly appreciated by me.
Regards, Cornelius.
Caedes, I would like to thank you for building and maintaining this website; I have greatly enjoyed the experience thus far, and I look forward to continuing as a member of this wonderful website. Before I discovered Caedes.net from a friend, I was using DeviantArt, but that website is filled with crass humour, sex-related postings, and pathetic quality, not to mention heavy limitations and aggressive advertising. Your website is ideal in so many ways, and I really appreciate the effort you have put into it. Have a great day sir!
Hi there, Id just like to say that i have really enjoyed using this website, looking at others work has really inspired me to learn more, During the past week of joining Ceades i have picked up so many tips and tricks, and i am really enjoying myself.
Kindest Regards,
Em.

I've been a member long enough that I think I'm long overdue for stopping by here and dropping you a heartfelt thank you. I really appreciate this community you've fostered and the environment of thoughtful critique and photography appreciation. Thank you! Jeff
I would like to take the time to thankyou for creating this site. It gives people like me who want a more personal place to post his work and make new friends. In my life of work and travel this is one of the constants in my life.
