Thanks for the comment on "Remember when? - Lazy afternoons" I really had to increase the yellow colors in the picture to get the effect I wanted (which was a total pain) and make it look like a sunny afternoon, but I guess it was worth it. I'm glad you liked the result! :)

Hi thanks for appreciaion about "Allium Cepa Flower" - I used Photoshop - created a layer of the flower by a combination of magic wand and lasso - painstaking work really. . but worth the efffect - used paint bucket in all the gaps and then I used a watercolour script that I created in paintshop pro to soften the edges a little - and then finally brought the purple up in the flower. .
can you see the bee?

bedankt voor je berichtje bij View from a hill.
Weet je, je kunt op zo veel plaatsen in Nederland een mooie foto maken. Het is maar net hoe je een compositie presenteert. Soms laat ik foto's zien van mijn omgeving, Heerhugowaard, Oterleek, Usem..etc (en Koedijk!) aan mijn collega's die daar wonen. En die herkennen lang niet alle foto's. Heb je die foto's in sephia in mijn gallery al eens bekeken? Die krijgen een heel hoge waardering, terwijl de mensen in die woonplaatsen mij verbaast aankijken als ik vertel dat ik een mooie foto van hun omgeving op internet heb geplaatst!
Je vroeg mij of ik iets aan het licht heb gedaan in foto van view from a hill. Ja en nee. Ik heb geen contrast of kleuren aangepast. Maar ik gebruik een nieuw programma genaamd RawShooter om raw images uit de camera direct te bewerken, voordat ze omgezet worden in jpeg. Dit programma heeft als optie om het effect van daglicht of indoor fotografie te versterken. Iets wat normaal gesproken door de camera wordt gedaan, maar wat ik nu op de computer zelf in de hand heb. En het resultaat is...nou ja dat heb je al gezien. En bewerkingen die ik normaal gesproken achteraf maak in Paint Shop laat ik nu vrijwel achterwege. Goed programma dus!

Continental was done with Paintshop Pro, nothing too fancy just some filters and adjustments. It was just a really neat place to be. They had all kinds of stuff in this yard that they were planning on sinking into a quary to entertain the local scuba divers.
