Multnomah Falls Uploaded: 11/21/06 9:35 AM GMT

Image: Multnomah Falls

This is the second highest waterfall in the U.S. at 620 feet and is one of the most visited sites in Oregon. It is a favorite place for taking out-of-town visitors in the magnificant Columbia River Gorge. All comments and suggestions for improvement will be appreciated.

Thank you Joann for taking a peek at "Bowl of Hydrangeas". I always assumed these were hydrangeas but the primrose does look similar to these. I have a vase of artificial hydrangeas underneath this picture with the same colors .The leaves are identical to the ones in the picture also. Go figure- anyway- thank you for taking the time to stop by and leaving a comment- much appreciated

Hi JoAnn,
thank you for nice comments on “Night Riders”. Although it does reminds scene from “Lord of the Rings”, I can ensure you it got nothing to do with. I took this picture directly from TV, documentary about China's Empire, and then alter using Photo Shop. I’m glad you found it interesting and once again thank you very much. Have a great day! :)

That sounds like a Scottish name , Ferguson. Did some of your ancestors come over some time way back?.....Anyway if not ,I'm glad you enjoyed 'Bagpipes and Bunting ' and yes it was a great day out in Edinburgh's Holyrood Park in the shadow of Arthur's Seat and the new Scottish Parliament building. I defy anyone not to be moved, with the sight and sounds of all these marching pipers proceeding on their way to a large assembly point where they were welcomed by Scottish dignitaries and then each band lined up side by side as they played Scotland the Brave, they marched across the field in one long straight line for about 100 yds turned and marched back again for the grand finale. It's a day I'll never forget!! Thank you once more. Ian.

Hi JoAnn. I'm glad you commented on and liked the "Saturated Old Buick" piece I did. I like the high-contrast color version better, but most commenters seem to like the black and white version better. To make it worse the c-index favors the color piece. Wow!

Rain Drop Pussy Willow was taken on a small bush next to a local college lake. I used the telephoto macro mode on my KonicaMinolta DiMAGE A200 at f-11, iso50 and used a fill flash that caused the shadowed background to go black. I never realised that Pussy Willows transformed like this. Thanks JoAnn for taking the time to view and comment on this image.

Thanks for your comments on my pic. It was a shock to see them. They are very rare this far north since they are usually found only in Mexico and the southernmost tip of the U.S. They came every morning for about 3 weeks and stayed for 30 minutes or so. I took a lot of pictures of them. They swam like regular ducks but also perched on tree limbs and fence rails. Since they were from Mexico we named them Jose and Hose B. --- Irv
