Hi Lisa,
I too loved the book (Hitchhickers guide to the universe)! It's way better then the movie... but think that the technics for making a movie are not yet great enough to make it like the book is!

Have a great day!

Hoi hoi Lisa, thanks for your nice comment on my lake Gelmer, Switzerland posting.
Yes it was incredible there. Made a hike around that azure blue lake and it was amazing. The lake was already at some hight (2,5 km) but the mountains towered out even above that to 4,5 km ! Beeing from Holland where all is totaly flat, i am just in love with such mountain scenes !

Lisa,
Thks for stopping by "Desolation". I did not use any filters on this. I tweaked various parts of the imnage via "selections". I wasn't all that happy with the way this came out but I thought I would post it and see what happens. I subscribe to several UK photo mags and got one in the mail yesterday that showed me what I missed out on because it was too early in the year. You should see all the various colors the heather turns into. It's reeeeeally beautiful over there now.

ps ...and yes that was my car down there and we are only half way up the hill at this point .....but ......it is easy access as steps and pathways have been made to make it accessible to all ages. I stop several times on the way up and take photographs .....and get my breath back! lol!

Hello Lisa, Thanks a lot for your kind words on 'the golden door' image. Very much appreciated.
To answer you, no I can't do a door series, I've got only 2. But maybe later I will realize one, because I think it's a good idea and there are so much special doors in the world.

Have a nice day my friend.
