Hello DJ, you may not know me but i am a HUGE fan of almost all of your works. I especially like the pieces titled: Amalgamate, Turning Away - Rework, Turning Away, and On A Whim. For the Turning away, espeically, have you ever thought of doing differnt colors for the main sphere? I would absolutly LOVE to see a gold, a black, a green, a red, or an orange. if i could have that pic in all those colors i would be in heaven! nothing changed but the sphere color. if at all possible, please!

Thanks DJ for posting on Apis - I kind of deliberately left the bulls head obscure and quite tightly cropped so that it would be less cluttered and more abstract. The title is really the main clue of where the image is coming from :-)

Hi DJ, thank you for your comment on "Launch Control". It's a Peavey Classic 20 amp what you see... not a highly desired vintage goodie but sounds good for the money....
I also like the old Fender tube amps.... had a 59 Bassmann Reissue lightyears ago... that's what I call a great tube amp. The Peavey is quite small and weighs around 25 lbs... so it's possible to take it with you occasionally without consulting your Orthopaedist after... ;-))

Thank you so very much for your kind words about my, Mount Princeton and Cottonwood Trees. I have never photographed these beautiful trees in the past as they are easily overlooked when the Aspens are in color. Since we missed the Aspens this year we turned to the Cottonwoods for color. Much more difficult to photograph. They are now on my list of fall colors.

I've felt like a trained seal for the last several days; everyone I talk to wants to know about my first-hand experiences. I swear it's getting difficult to not make up stuff to keep them happy. I don't know what happened with "Twist", I spent quite a long time crossing the lines over and fixing the shadows etc... then by the time I was finished I seemed to have deleted the layers, or something. I was very annoyed, but I have redone the thing and now it looks better than it did the first time anyway.

.. I think you're right about it being a Mimosa tree, and I agree the leaves look a bit different compared to any others that I can find by googling around. Just the same there seems to be several variety's ... that may explain the difference in the leaves. Interesting flower just the same. Your shot (Fireflower) is very well captured.
