2nd place
Taking the 'A' Train by theradman

LynEve: Very well done and well deserving of its placement. Congratulations !

Tootles: This one is striking... I like the way the structured darkness pushes across most of the composition, leaving a strip of light at the edge where all the information and life and activity is. Looking at it, you think of the train coming past and vanishing into darkness... really suits the theme of this contest. Here's hoping you do well!

3rd place
Wine Cellar by mirto56

corngrowth: Hello Doug,

Congratulations for winning the 3rd price in the 'Vanishing Point' contest.

Tootles: I really like this -- so cool and atmospheric. I was listening to The Earth Dies Screaming (UB40!) when viewing this, and that increased the spooky vibe -- as though it was a bunker, which I realize it's not! All the same, it had its effect, well deserved.

As well as the light rays, the bokeh has an interesting shape. I like that detail.

Wishing you good luck in the Vanishing Point contest.

5th place
Corridor by Eubeen

mirto56: Looks like one of the hallways from a scary movie...perhaps "The Shinning." I know what I'm doing the next time I can't sleep in a hotel. Super shot for the contest, Wendell.

gizmo1: I heard you have been having it bad in your neck of the woods it was on UK news, don't envy you stuck away from your home comforts my good friend. As for the photo it as lovely depth of field and I love the low light in this capture too.Plus great angle you took the shoot from and the purple light at the end of the corridor adds a nice feel to this capture as well.
