Shadows in the Louvre by gr8fulted

makeshifter: Thank you for this picture. I got to visit the Louvre, too short a visit, many years ago, and have always wished my group hadn't been whisked away for more "sight seeing" before I had got more than a distant view of the Mona Lisa or anything else. The black and white format here works wonderfully well with the lights and shadows. Lovely shot!

3rd place
This Old Barn by jerseygurl

photoeye68: Interesting photo of an interesting subject. 🤓

LynEve: Congratulations on your contest placement Laura. Well deserved :)

corngrowth: Laura, as far as an object can be photogenic, this barn earns this qualification fully. An excellent opportunity for making some very good images. With this image you have proven to handle this matter in an excellent way. My compliments, my friend.
Would be a very good entry for both the B&W challenge and the current contest.

4th place
Marital Contemplation by corngrowth

mirto56: Congrats on placing 4th with this lovely scene, Cornelius.

Dunstickin: That's a great scene Sir C!....nice sharp details in both the landscape and the water reflections!...

Looking at the people..it shows that they communicate with each other too!

A fine entry for either or both!..

5th place
THE WRECK by nuke88

nuke88: no vic this is the original and it is truly black and white !!

susanlynn: A marvelous painting Eugene. The water coming over the little falls just to right of the shipwreck looks so real and the moon adds to the mysterious and sad circumstances of the scene. A great piece of art. Good luck in the contest.
