1st place Flmngseabass: Congratulations on the win here.....whoever you are:):) Great picture.
Nikoneer: This is an excellent capture of a happy day in the ongoing history you and your son are creating. The perspective of the near-converging lines of the bridge, the mouth of the foliage tunnel at its apex, and your son smack in the middle, head turned just enough to evoke exploration on his part, all in good focus and the more evocative b&w treatment, makes this a real keeper. I'm hoping you have it printed large, framed, and hanging in a prominent place in your home to put a smile on every guest who sees it. A fav for me.
Happy Trails

3rd place Flmngseabass: Congrats Jeff for your 3rd place win. Well deserved:):)
Flmngseabass: A great story Jeff!! You're the man:):)
LynEve: That's a great story - the world needs more like you and that lad !
bfrank: That is a great story, Jeff! I was wondering would this qualify for the current contest? It reminds me of the days our family hiked in the Smoky Mountains. Some of those hikes were about 10 miles.
4th place Flmngseabass:
jerseygurl: Congrats, John on taking 4th place in the contest!!!!!!!!
Nikoneer: A bit of a departure for you, John, but a well-done one, indeed. And better it be Captain James Hook at the helm and not Barnacle Bill. Lyrics like:
A special offer for today
I'll tell you what I'll do
All those who sign without delay
Will get a free tattoo
Why, it's like money in the bank
Come on!
Join up and I'll be frank
Unless you do
You'll walk the plank
The choice is up to you.
...are mostly preferable to those of Bills I heard while serving in the Navy.

corngrowth: Milka, this would be a very apt entry for the 'A Childhood Memory' contest.
If you would decide so, I wish you the Best of Luck with it.
jerseygurl: A cheerful looking school building and surroundings by the lake Milka - can well understand why you liked it so much - Great Capture!!!!!!!!
