1st place Pjsee16: I admire both your intent, your narrative, and especially your photo... perhaps you will enliven your son's curiousity...and as well as being a subject he may take his own photos... Wonderful posting.
bfrank: Good job on the black and white image. Your image is thoughtful and tells the story. I loved taking my kids on nature walks when they were young.

Flmngseabass: Congrats Jeff for your 3rd place win. Well deserved:):)
bfrank: That is a great story, Jeff! I was wondering would this qualify for the current contest? It reminds me of the days our family hiked in the Smoky Mountains. Some of those hikes were about 10 miles.
4th place Pjsee16: Vivid, luminous, and evocative!
biffobear: Captain Jack needs to watch his back..R.
LynEve: Stirs the imagination beautifully
Vickid: Truly entrancing memories and the scene is fantastic....bravo ...
corngrowth: John, when sailing the seven seas in my previous career, I'm glad that I never had an encounter with a ship and its crew as perfectly depicted by you, 😁 .
I must say however that in my childhood days I've read (with red ears because of the tension) books with pirate adventures too.
Your splendid work does revive my childhood days to a certain extent now. Thanks for that!
5th place casechaser: School is where children go and learn the magic they will use for the rest of their lives. Milka, best wishes for the contest.
LynEve: This will be a great entry and must bring many memories for you
jerseygurl: A cheerful looking school building and surroundings by the lake Milka - can well understand why you liked it so much - Great Capture!!!!!!!!
