Pjsee16: I admire both your intent, your narrative, and especially your photo... perhaps you will enliven your son's curiousity...and as well as being a subject he may take his own photos... Wonderful posting.

3rd place
Going Hiking by Pistos

LynEve: That's a great story - the world needs more like you and that lad !

bfrank: Congrats on Third place, Jeff!

bfrank: That is a great story, Jeff! I was wondering would this qualify for the current contest? It reminds me of the days our family hiked in the Smoky Mountains. Some of those hikes were about 10 miles.

4th place
The Old Bow and Hook by casechaser

corngrowth: John, when sailing the seven seas in my previous career, I'm glad that I never had an encounter with a ship and its crew as perfectly depicted by you, 😁 .
I must say however that in my childhood days I've read (with red ears because of the tension) books with pirate adventures too.
Your splendid work does revive my childhood days to a certain extent now. Thanks for that!

5th place
Long Time Ago by koca

corngrowth: Milka, this would be a very apt entry for the 'A Childhood Memory' contest.
If you would decide so, I wish you the Best of Luck with it.

Pjsee16: It has a welcoming look surrounded by friendly trees...

bfrank: Congrats on fifth place, Milka!
