Consideration of a Photojournalism Gallery

This may have already been a discussion. I'm not sure. Looking through those listed on this link I'm not seeing one, so I'd like to see what members think of a gallery dealing with serious photographic images. There are a lot of beautiful images on this site but life isn't always beautiful, too often just the opposite. I'm not talking about submitting questionable images of violent death, or sex, or other images that might be very objectionable to some people. Right now I'm submitting what is basically a tour of a nuclear missile control facility from our Cold War days. There are no shots in it that could be considered "wallpaper," necessarily, or any that could be termed objectionable (drab, yes, but not objectionable), but it's a subject that many of us have known about, and have had hanging over our heads for years, and from the comments I'm getting, is something that most people have never been privy to. Those commenting are very appreciative of the series. The gallery I'm submitting these shots to is architecture, the only one that seemed appropriate. Photojournalism promotes education and involvement in our world. It's an important part of our craft. If there can be a gallery for pets on the Caedes site, I think there should be one for photojournalism. If it wasn't important and popular among a large segment of the population, magazines like Life and National Geographic would not have had the success they did. What do you think? Over time I have seen positive changes in the Caedes site and I think this has the potential of being one, too.
