This is the first calf I have noticed around these parts this year. There have probably been more but his color and it being lunch time, made it catch my eye. At first the calf was lying on the ground facing away from me. I did a few moo's and it finally stood up. It stood there for a little bit while I took this shot then it laid back down facing me. All this time the mom was grazing on the hillside. When I told the calf I thought I would name him gravy, he jumped up and headed for mom. It was still wobbly so I guess it was a newborn. Amazing how fast they can walk.

Pop out and pop up. That's the creed of the calf.
