The St. Louis Cardinals open their baseball season tonight so Spring is officially here. Just need some hot dogs and apple pie.

I spied this old baseball scribe while I was out for my walk. He looked lonesome so I stopped for a quick update on how he expected the Cardinals to do this year. 'They will do better then the Toronto Blue Jays," he said as he rolled his eyes. I saw what he meant when I discovered the damage on his cap bill. I guess he has put the jinx on them and the Orioles.

I look for the Cardinals to be a fun team to watch this year. The "better then thou," attitudes have moved on. One was overtaken by greed and the other retired. It will be difficult to repeat last year's World Series title but they will be going for Number 12 in 2012. Have a good day.
