After SAW, aka Mesmerized did this fine image for me, I thought I would do another Drive-In.

This one is in Macon, Missouri and this is all that remains. The Screen has been gone for years. I think it was Gone With The Wind in a storm years ago. The ticket office (front) and the snack bar/projection booth (back) still remain. I am surprised since they are just rotting away. The fence, that kept people from just walking in, remains as well. I have several different shots of this place including a closeup of the dilapidated snack bar. Personally this is my favorite because is shows how it has deteriorated; not only to the eye, but to the mind and heart. It was a way to spend a summer night at the movies. Trees have grown and the grass remains green in the summer, but the rest of the memory is slowly fading away. I gave some thought to using black/white or other techniques to enhance the deterioration, but this is how it looks and it is real. Enjoy.
