This is the Truss Swing Bridge across the Missouri River between St. Joseph, MO and Elwood, Ks. Photo was taken on April 14, 2013. It was a rainy day and I was unable to find a spot where I could shoot up the river. You can see other shots and obtain information about the bridge here. Since Prof Knik lives a ways upstream from here, I thought he might be interested in this shot. It was used mainly for the Union Pacific railroad and I believe it has been abandoned and is left open. The photo is nothing special, just a shot of our history.
