A garter snake had a toad by the upper arm, trying to have a meal. The toad was puffed up to make itself less likely to become that meal. All ended well for the toad. I think I broke the snake's concentration, and the toad escaped. Not the best shot, or perspective, but I wanted to capture the event. I didn't even take the time to get my shadow out of the way!
